Aims
Constitution and Basis of Faith

CONSTITUTION
The aim of the club is to maintain, develop and extend the friendship and fellowship of over 22 years on Christian holidays.  It would commend bible reading, evangelism, worship and fellowship.

Membership shall be open to all who share the aims of the club - independent of age - and irrespective of whether they have been on past holidays.  The club shall have informal links with Scripture Union and any other appropriate Christian agencies.  To fulfil its aims it could organise regular mailings, holidays, house parties and day events.  Opportunities for Christian service will be encouraged and the club will have a missionary interest.

The club organisers will be Mr Andrew Mackie and Mrs Elizabeth Mackie aided by an Advisory Council of up to 20 members with three statutory meetings per year.  A quorum shall consist of one organiser and eight members.  Decisions shall be taken by the Council or as delegated by them to the officers.  Membership of the Advisory Council will be by invitation of the Council.

Each year members will be asked for a subscription on a household basis to cover the expenses of the Club.  The Advisory Council may appoint officers to head the work in each of its facets.

The constitution of the Club was approved at the first council meeting on Monday 20th August 2001 at the Scripture Union Headquarters, 9 Canal Street, Glasgow.
