Terms and Conditions
of Booking

1.  Holiday Places
As our holidays are extremely popular, we advise and appreciate early bookings.  Families are most welcome but we cannot gear the holidays specifically towards this end. Single accommodation is necessarily limited. The single supplement is the cost charged to us by hotels and ferry operators. We therefore strongly recommend sharing with a friend of your choosing either for the whole holiday or  at least when cabins on overnight ferries are involved.

2.  Price
Particulars of what is included in the cost of each holiday are detailed in the brochure. It is not anticipated that prices will have to be changed but we reserve the right to revise the price should there be a significant increase in travel costs or a marked deterioration in the sterling exchange rate.

3.  Insurance
For all holidays abroad you must be covered by holiday insurance.
The club will not handle any arrangements for insurance and the cost of insurance is therefore not included in the price.  It is strongly recommended that insurance is arranged as soon as your booking is confirmed.  Details of your insurance company, policy number and expiry date must be provided to the club on the form provided as soon as possible after booking.  If you are travelling abroad several times each year an annual policy may be the cheapest option. In order for the insurance to be valid, prior health conditions must be reported to the insurance company.

4.  Booking
Bookings should be made by sending  completed booking forms and the required deposit to the stated address.  The balance of the holiday must be paid in regular instalments with the total cost of the holiday being cleared not less than 8 weeks before the start of the holiday.  Where holidays involve air travel a minimum of £250 must be paid within the first 8 weeks after the date of booking to enable the tickets to be purchased at the most advantageous price.  Early booking is advised for an air holiday since later bookings could involve a supplementary charge. Travellers on holidays involving air travel must be members of the Club and will require to sign an enrolment form and pay the appropriate joining fee before a booking is accepted.

5.  Cancellation
If you cancel more than eight weeks prior to the departure date only the amount of the deposit will be retained.  If, however, air travel is involved and the tickets have been purchased before the cancellation is notified, the cost of the air ticket will also be retained. If cancellation is within 8 weeks of the departure date the total cost will be retained. This is why we recommend travel insurance from the date of booking.
